LCAP Membership

Membership Drives

• LCAP Community Members are made up of a diverse group from the broader community extending south to Creola, north to Mount Vernon, and west to Turnerville.  Members are asked to serve a minimum of 2 years and then renew their commitment one year at a time.  The membership drive is conducted in November of each year.

Attendance:

• Attendance at the meetings is very important to the LCAP process.  If a Community Member misses 3 meetings, he or she will be contacted to determine if they will be able to remain active.  Should a Community Member find it impossible to continue, he/she is encouraged to let the Facilitator know preferably in writing.

Guest Policy:

• Current members may invite neighbors or other community members that may be interested in joining the LCAP.  However, we request that the Facilitator be informed about guests several days before the meeting to make certain there will be adequate space and food.

Meeting Schedule:

• The LCAP normally meets nine times per year - one meeting for each participating industry.  The current schedule is posted on the main LCAP page of this website.  The November meeting includes the election of the Chairperson and Co-Chairperson for the following year and formalization of the Community Member Register.
